Tim Burton (Film Director) Status: Hair Thinning

Tim Burton (Film Director) Status: Hair Thinning

Timothy Walter "Tim" Burton (born August 25, 1958) is an American film director, producer, writer and artist. Since directing his first feature, Pee-wee's Big Adventure, in 1985, he has gone on to direct and produce numerous films, many of which have won Academy Awards. He is famed for his dark and quirky-themed films, such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, and for his blockbusters, including Batman, Batman Returns, Sleepy Hollow, Planet of the Apes, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He frequently works with close friend Johnny Depp, musician Danny Elfman, Helena Bonham Carter and various others.

Tim Burton has always frightened audiences with his movies as well has his hair. His hair has now taken a life of its own. He styles his hair the way he does because not only is it his trademark but it helps his hair look thicker and fuller. Tim Burton is losing his hair but he does his hair that is the equivalent to a "comb-over." What's interesting is that his comb over doesn't look like the traditional comb over. With his thick curly hair, he has an advantage when it comes to styling his hair the way he does. Let's give a shout out for Tim Burton and his creative movies as well as his creative "comb-over."

Rober Blake (Actor) Status: Balding/ Hair Transplant

Rober Blake (Actor) Status: Balding/ Hair Transplant

Robert Blake (September 18, 1933) is an Italian-American actor who starred in the film In Cold Blood and the U.S. television series Baretta. In 2005, he was tried and acquitted for the 2001 murder of his wife, but on November 18, 2005, Blake was found liable for her wrongful death.

Robert Blake is notorious in Hollywood for the murder of his wife and also for the extensive work he has done for his thinning hair. You can see him wearing some goofy hats in between his hair transplants while he recovers from the surgery. He has had many hair transplants in the past but no amount of work on his hair will make the public forget about his famous murder trial.

Christian Slater (Actor) Status: Balding/ Hair Transplant

Christian Slater (Actor) Status: Balding/ Hair Transplant

Christian Michael Leonard Slater (born August 18, 1969) is an American actor who has starred in films such as Heathers, Kuffs, True Romance, He Was a Quiet Man, Broken Arrow, The Legend of Billie Jean and Pump Up The Volume.

Let's just say that Christian Slater isn't the heartthrob he once was. He has undergone a hair transplant but that will not save him from his booming belly on the beach.

Jack Coleman (TV Actor) Status: Balding/ Hair Piece

Jack Coleman (TV Actor) Status: Balding/ Hair Piece

John MacDonald "Jack" Coleman (born February 21, 1958) is an American actor and screenwriter, best known for replacing Al Corley in the role of Steven Carrington in the 1980s prime time soap opera, Dynasty, and for portraying Noah Bennet in the science-fiction drama series, Heroes.

You can see here that Jack Coleman's little patch of hair in the front looks a little different then the rest of his hair. This could be a possible hair piece or even a hair transplant. All we know for sure is that he does not have super hero powers or a natural full head of hair.

Matt Damon (Actor) Status: Balding

Matt Damon (Actor) Status: Balding

Matthew Paige "Matt" Damon (born October 8, 1970) is an American actor, writer, and philanthropist whose career was launched following the success of the film Good Will Hunting, from a screenplay he wrote with friend Ben Affleck. The pair won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and the Golden Globe Award for Best Screenplay for the work and Damon garnered multiple nominations for Best Actor, including the Academy Award for his lead performance in the same film.

If you see Matt Damon in his latest film Invictus, you can see quite easily his hair and how it is thinning. Unlike his best friend Ben Affleck, Matt prefers to lose his hair gracefully and opts to hair styling in order to cover his baldness. Ben Affleck on the other hand has undergone hair transplants as well as resorting to wearing hair pieces. Matt Damon on the other hand styles his hair in such a way so that it's either messy or parted to the side to reduce the appearance of his receding hairline and hair loss. But we still love ya Matt!

James Pickens Jr. (TV Actor)

James Pickens Jr. (TV Actor)  Status: Hair thinning in the front

James Pickens, Jr. (born October 26, 1954) is an American actor notable for his starring role as Dr. Richard Webber on the ABC drama television series Grey's Anatomy and also for his supporting role as Deputy Director Alvin Kersh on later seasons of The X-Files.

Like most bald celebs, James Pickens Jr. will always make a fashionable statement with a hat to cover his hair loss. Despite his thinning of hair, he has used that to his advantage in the roles he plays such as a mature and wise doctor in the hit TV show Grey's Anatomy.

Michael C. Hall (actor)

Congratulations on his recent Golden Globe Award and his hair transplant. You can in the above picture how his har was thinning and now he suddenly has a little bit more hair even though he is obviously trying to hid the receding at his temples.

Paul McCartney (musician)

We all know who this guy is and I'm pretty sure he has had a hair transplant (he has the money right?). Sorry Paul but no hair transplant will ever may it look like the good old mop-top days. He could always go to a store and buy a Beatles wig.

Ryan Murphy (Producer)

Ryan Murphy (born circa 1966) is an American writer and producer for film and television, best known for his creations, the FX television series Nip/Tuck, the cult hit Popular, and Glee.

All his shows deal with feeling inferior and feeling beautiful. Maybe being bald has something to do with it?

Richard Schiff (TV Actor) Status: Bald

Richard Schiff (born May 27, 1955) is an American actor. He is best known for playing Toby Ziegler on the NBC television drama The West Wing, a role for which he received an Emmy Award.
Richard Schiff was pretty good on the West Wing but now his career has hit a slump. Atleast we know that it wasn't due to his baldness since he was already bald when he hit the peak of his success.

Christian Bale (actor)

We all know how Christian Bale totally commits to a role but does this mean that he has to committ to going bald?

Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt (Actor) Status: Receding Hairline

Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt (born February 17, 1981) is an American actor, known for roles both as a child and as an adult. He is most known for playing Tommy Solomon on the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun.

He was also recognizable for his long hair which he had during his stint on 3rd Rock from the Sun. Even though he has aged well when it comes to his face and features, he still has a receding/ maturing hairline. It looks as if he may be using a concealer such as Toppik. I believe he will be unable to hide his thinning hair in a few years.

Jon Gosselin (TV Personality) Status: Balding

Jonathan Keith Gosselin (born April 1, 1977) is an American television personality, known for his appearances with then-wife Kate Gosselin and their eight children on the American reality TV show Jon & Kate Plus 8.

Below you can see pictures of a hair transplant that he underwent.

Moby (musician) Status: Completely Bald

Moby (musician) Status: Completely Bald

Richard Melville Hall (born September 11, 1965), better known by his stage name Moby, is an American DJ, singer-songwriter, and musician.

Moby is a well known DJ and musician around the world. Despite his success, he has never let being bald and geeky stop him from being who he wants to be. He never wears a hat nor does he try to hide his shiny bald head. We commend you Moby for being bald and proud of it.

Chris Baio (musician)

Chris Baio (musician) Status: Balding

Chris Baio is the bass guitarist and back up vocals for American indie rock band Vampire Weekend.

Not much is known about this up and coming rock star except that he's anothe balding rock star. He also graduated from college in 2007. So it turns out rock stars go to college and bald.

Scott Weiland (musician) Status: Receding at the temples with possible Hair Transplant

Scott Weiland (musician)  Status: Receding at the temples with possible Hair Transplant

Scott Weiland (born Scott Richard Kline on October 27, 1967) is an American musician, lyricist, and vocalist, most notably known for his work with Grammy Award-winning rock band Stone Temple Pilots, and also for his five-year career with supergroup Velvet Revolver.

Good ol' Scotty has had a receding hairline for sometime. I suspect a possible hair transplant in order to save his rocker youth. Despite growing bald, Scott will not hesistate to dye his hair as you can see in the very top before/after pics. Despite his hair thinning problems, Mr. Weiland seems to have some more problems in his wardrobe area (you be the judge- see pic above). Mr. Weiland is one more perfect example that not all rockers have a perfect "rock head of hair."

Lexington Steele (Porn Star) Completely Bald

Clifton Todd Britt[2] (born November 28, 1969), better known as Lexington Steele, is an American award winning pornographic actor, director and owner of Mercenary Motion Pictures. He is the only actor to have won the AVN Male Performer of the Year Award three times.[2]

One little fact about Mr. Steele is that he's college educated. Another fact is that it doesn't take a full head of hair to succeed in the world of porn.

Tim Nordwind (musician) Status: Completely Bald

Tim Nordwind (musician) Status: Completely Bald

Timothy Jay Nordwind (born June 28, 1976) is the bassist and backing vocalist for the American rock band OK Go.

Nordwind was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan (where he attended Loy Norrix High School) before moving to Chicago, Illinois in the late '90s. In Chicago, Nordwind, Dan Konopka, and Andy Duncan formed a band called, Stanley's Joyful Noise , which was heavily influenced by D.C. punk rock. The trio, along with Damian Kulash, Nordwind's childhood friend who moved to Chicago from Washington D.C., formed the band, OK Go in 1998.
Nordwind became OK Go's official lip-syncher for their homemade choreographed videos such as "A Million Ways" and "Here It Goes Again" even though Kulash is the actual lead singer. It is highly possible this trend was borne out of the band's touring hit "C-C-C-Cinnamon Lips", whereby the band would dance on stage to a similarly choreographed routine, and Tim would sing; as he originally did on the record. It is most likely that Nordwind is the only member who can keep track of his choreography while lip-synching.

Tim Norwind has always amazed audiences around the world and online with his outlandish outfits and style while playing the bass. As far as I know, he's been bald for awhile and I couldn't find any pics of him with hair. You can find Tim Norwind either hiding his baldness under a hat or outright flaunting it with style. If anyone knows anything about how to wear a bald head- it's Tim Norwind.

Mark Messier (NHL player) Status: Balding

Mark Messier (NHL player) Status: Balding

Mark John Douglas Messier (born January 18, 1961) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey centre of the National Hockey League and current special assistant to the president and general manager of the New York Rangers. Due to his size and strength, he was nicknamed "The Moose".[3][4] In 2007, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, in his first year of eligibility.

Mark Messier is regarded as one of the greatest hockey players to grace the ice. We all know that hockey brings its physical disputes and Messier is one to never shy away from a good fight. His shaved head makes him even more lethal in a fight since his opponent will never be able to pull his hair- and yes, hockey players pull hair when they fight.

In the above Sports Illustrated photo you can see him being held back by referees. If you want to look tough and you got a balding head- shave it and go for the Messier look. After that, no one will want to mess with you.
